Ar-We-Va School

Home of the Rockets

Westside, Iowa is home to one of the best school systems in the area. The Ar-We-Va School District is made up of students from Arcadia, Vail, and Westside. The AWV Community School District is continually adapting and improving their curriculum and facilities to give their students and faculty the best educational experience possible. According to the AWV educational philosophy, the school system wants each student to be "honest, responsible, and productive citizens in our democratic society."

The Ar-We-Va schools educate students from Kindergarten through High School, with athletics, music, theatre, and clubs for the students. Athletics includes football, volleyball, basketball, track & field, baseball & softball, cross country, and weightlifting. Band and choir are available, along with dance, cheerleading, speech, and more. There are plenty of extracurricular activities for the students, covering a wide variety of interests.

The residents of Westside are proud of the education offered to their students and Ar-We-Va has been sending graduates into the world since 1957. We know that our Ar-We-Va Rockets have the tools and abilities to change the world and are fortunate to have this school system in our town.
